WHY SwimHER
Water is a vital part of life in Australia, but barriers like cultural norms, access, or financial constraints can limit opportunities for women to engage. SwimHER bridges that gap, ensuring everyone feels safe, capable and empowered in, on and around the water.
OUR MISSION
To empower women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities by providing a safe, inclusive space to learn essential swimming and water safety skills, breaking barriers to participation, and fostering confidence in and out of the water.
SwimHER Program
- Fully subsidised 10 Week Learn to Swim Program (1x 45min lesson per week) for eligible females.
- 1x Water Safety Workshop
- 1x Breaking CALD Barriers Workshop
- FREE long sleeve rash shirt, cap and goggles
- Professional learn to swim instruction tailored for beginners and intermediates.
- Opportunities for employment in aquatic education.

ABOUT SwimHER
SwimHER is a transformative 3-month learn-to-swim and water safety program designed specifically for women from multicultural backgrounds. Held in a supportive, all-female environment, the program not only teaches vital swimming skills but also strengthens community bonds and encourages lifelong confidence.
